Check Out New Online Download Service, Akimbo
As an article in the New York Times recently reported, there is a new product on the market called Akimbo. This is a service that allows you to download television shows and movies off of the internet and store them in your Akimbo Box, much like Tivo. Also like Tivo, you buy the box and pay for a monthly service.
Unfortunately, the variety of shows and movies isn’t quite what it could be, thanks to skeptical, internet-fearing TV networks. Also, even after you pay for the service, many shows and movies require additional Pay-Per-View costs. Even then, many vanish from your Akimbo box 60, 30, 7, or even 2 days after your purchase.
