MTK-R2 is a PC/SC NFC Smart Reader Module that supports reading/writing ISO14443 and ISO18502 RF smart cards. Compliant with both CCID and PC/SC, it is a plug-and-play USB NFC device provides interoperability with different devices and applications for secure personal identity verification and online micro-payment transactions..
With an access speed of up to 424 kbps and a full USB speed of up to 12 Mbps, MTK-R2 offers quick speed for reading. Also the contactless allows proximity distance of up to 5cm depending on the contactless tag types.
MTK-R2 integrates 2 ISO 7816-3 SAM slots to increase security level. The NFC reader is small and compact for integration in POS terminals, access systems and vending machines.
Furthermore, the module can be easily customized to different sizes and shapes. Other applications of the MTK-R2 include access control, e-payment, e-ticketing for events and public transportation, toll road fare collection and network authentication.
